THANKS to Cosi and Daniel!!
The first night in France in Voreppe was quite cold (it snowed during the night). However one down sleeping bag, a down and a fleece blanket made it even cosy.
Transcending my anxieties was however the greater challenge, especially as I didn't know how to lock the back doors of the car with me being inside (must admit that I was also too lazy to get out of the sleeping bag and test a bit around to get it done, yet imagining at the same time all sorts of horror scenarios). Sleeping
The second night near Arles was by far better, having learned in the meantime how to lock myself in the car, made me sleep very comfortable.
The French countryside is fantastic! The cities are mostly stone and concrete, even if nice, sort of tiresome.
One day I had my lunch in the Gorges de l'Ardeche - absolutely empty at this time of the year.
Now I am in Barcelona, staying at Migs' place, he has very good insights into the cultural underground scene here, so this is all quite exciting as well. Although I am really keen on climbing in Siurana, Montsant, etc. etc. etc...!
